We want to dive deeper into your concerns and make sure to learn your goals on day one. Treatments may include manual, hands-on, treatment with appropriate therapeutic exercise to get you back to the sport in a safe and effective manner. We will provide the necessary modifications to keep you moving in the recovery process and will provide the tools and knowledge how to help reduce the chance of returning to the initial injury state.

Meet Ben Lawing, doctor of physical therapy and founder of Lawing Physical Therapy & Sports Performance. Ben created this practice to better serve athletes and active individuals to perform and feel better. He has a certification as a performance specialist (C-PS) where he learned a complete system to help restore, optimize, and enhance performance by assessing movement and building performance-based therapy and training programs.

Ben has a passion for sports, having played roller hockey for the Missouri State Bears during his college years. This passion is evident in his work as he specializes in working with various orthopedic conditions and is dedicated to helping athletes return to their sports pain-free. He is also dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques to ensure that his patients receive the best possible care. Lawing Physical Therapy & Sports Performance is dedicated to helping athletes achieve their full potential and stay injury-free, and with Ben’s expertise and experience, you can trust that you’re in good hands.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Ben earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise and Movement Science and he went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from The Missouri State University.

Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Ben is an avid Cardinals and Blues fan and since the Rams left, he has joined the Red Kingdom as a Chiefs fan. Ben and his wife, Katelyn, reside in the Northland and are proud parents to two daughters. He maintains an active lifestyle through weightlifting and playing golf, and hockey.
